Mr. U.D. Jayawardana

Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Jayawardana, a Chartered Engineer in Electrical Engineering, is a Fellow of the Institute of Engineers of Sri Lanka, and the Institute of Engineering Technology U. K. He also holds a Diploma in Management from the National Institute of Management.

Mr. Jayawardana became the General Manager/Chief Executive Officer of the Company in the year 1988 and continues to be so during the past more than twenty years.

Due to his commitment, courage, and innovative leadership LTL has diversified in to many fields of engineering activities, established several subsidiaries/affiliates to perform different diversified functions, and also globalized its operations. The LTL Group of companies has now become a giant in the Sri Lankan engineering sphere active both locally and globally. The monumental growth of the organization is due to the stewardship of the organization by Mr. Jayawardana.

Mr. M. J. M. N. Marikkar

Chief Operations Officer

Mr. Marikkar, a Chartered Engineer in Electrical Engineering, is a Member of the Institute of Engineers of Sri Lanka, and the Institute of Engineering Technology. U. K. He also holds a PG Dip in Industrial Engineering and a MSc on Project Management.

Mr. Marikkar who was with the National Power Utility of Sri Lanka joined LTL 14 years ago and had been one of the pillars of the Management Team responsible for the brave and innovative leadership of the Company that transformed LTL to be a giant in the Sri Lankan engineering sphere.

He had been the Project Director of virtually all major projects undertaken by the Company, and the most recent of which was the 300 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant project at Kerawalapitiya. The achievements with regard to this project were internationally recognized and appreciated. As a mark of this appreciation the Company was awarded International Gold Award for the Best Independent Power Producer for the year 2008 in the Asian Region at the Asian Power Award Ceremony organized by the Asian Power Magazine.

Mr. Ravindra K Pitigalage

Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Pitigalage brings together his exceptional knowledge in finance, business awareness and brilliant engineering intellect into LTL Holdings. This synergetic mix of intellectual keen business knowledge & understanding has been invaluable developing LTL to the present status.

His qualifications include B. Sc. (Hons) in Electrical Engineering, Fellowship of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants UK (FCMA), a MBA from University of Sri Jayawardanapura and Level 1 of CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) exams. His exceptional knowledge in project financing has been instrumental in negotiating funding arrangements for major Infrastructure development projects including the largest power project (Yugadhanavi Power Plant) ever realized in Sri Lankan history. He has transcended traditional boundaries of professionalism by artfully mastering engineering with management accountancy and proceeding further to being an exemplary financial strategist and was crowned as the CFO of the year 2008 at the CIMA Pinnacle Awards.

Mr. D. A. J. Nanayakkara

Chief Technology Officer

Mr Nanayakkara, B.Sc(Hons), MEng, CEng(SL), CEng(UK), having obtained a First Class Honors degree in Electrical Engineering, joined LTL soon after graduation from the University of Moratuwa in 1995. Mr Nanayakkara has obtained a Master of Engineering degree from the same university and is a Chartered Engineer in Electrical Engineering, a Member of the Institute of Engineers of Sri Lanka, the Institution of Engineering Technology (UK) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (USA). Mr Nanayakkara was the Project Manager of the 300MW Combined Cycle Power Plant project at Kerawalapitiya which was built at a cost of over US$ 300 million making it the largest power plant to be developed in Sri Lanka.

During the past 16 year period which, Mr Nanayakkara had been with LTL Holdings, he has shouldered many responsibilities including designing and manufacturing of transformers, General Management of Transformer Plant and LTL Energy, His areas of technical expertise include, construction of emergency thermal power plants on fast track basis, outdoor substations, grid substations, thermal power plants and a host of others. He was very much instrumental in implementing energy saving projects in industries on commercial basis in Sri Lanka, developing an improved and effective lightning protection system for distribution transformers and developing self-protected transformers.
